MoneyNel Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026. 2DTO3D operates MoneyNel.

Records and selected images

Your expense and income records, budgets, categories, settings, pending reviews and Trash are stored in the app’s local storage. MoneyNel uses Apple Vision to recognize text on your device. The app does not send your financial records or selected images to a developer server and does not connect to your bank or read messages automatically.

You choose the images to import through Apple’s photo picker. Pending reviews can contain selected images and the text recognized from images or pasted by you. Images are omitted from saved transactions. Reviewing or removing a pending item does not erase copies already held in recovery files or exported backups. Originals in Photos are not deleted or changed by MoneyNel.

No account or tracking

The app requires no user account and includes no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Purchases and trial access

Apple processes in-app purchases and purchase restoration. We do not receive your payment card details. The app uses verified StoreKit transactions to determine lifetime access. New users start the free 14-day Trial by confirming a free, non-consumable Apple purchase. The app uses the verified original transaction date to restore the trial period and stores the start date and successful-photo fingerprints locally. Existing users retain their earlier saved trial start and photo usage. Photo-use counts are local and do not synchronize across devices. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid purchase. Apple’s services are subject to Apple’s privacy policies.

Backups and deletion

You can export and restore a backup. Backups contain financial records, Trash and pending reviews. Pending reviews can include recognized or pasted source text even when you choose not to include photos. Selecting the photo option also includes pending review images. Backup files are JSON files without a separate app-provided password; anyone with access to a copy may be able to read its contents. You choose the file destination; cloud storage and device backups are governed by your provider and device settings. The app does not automatically synchronize records between devices.

Deleting an entry moves it to recoverable Trash. The current app does not provide a button to permanently empty Trash. Before a normal backup restore, the app keeps a local recovery copy of the previous records and pending reviews, including any pending review images. During recovery from an unreadable saved state, it may also preserve that original file. Later changes to the current records do not remove these earlier copies. Uninstalling the app removes its local container; offloading the app can retain its data. Neither action removes exported backups, originals in Photos or Apple purchase history. A device backup may restore app data. Manage exported copies and device backups separately.
