Work. Coffee. A walk home. Been keeps the little journeys that make up your day. Been is preparing for its first US App Store release.

Automatic recording

Open Been once, allow location access, and make sure recording is running. For recording while the app is off screen, choose Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Been → Always, with Precise Location on. If you paused recording, tap Resume.

Do not swipe Been away from the app switcher while you want to record. Location reception, iOS restrictions, and permission settings can cause gaps. Background recording may increase battery use. Open Been to check the last saved time; missing location samples cannot be reconstructed reliably.

Your journal and places

Day, Month, and Year let you revisit your history. Stops are estimated visits where you stayed; Places lists saved visits and lets you give familiar places a name. Distances, movement times, and visits are estimates, not navigation or fitness measurements.

Day and night

Choose a light or dark appearance, or use the automatic time-based theme. Share a route card or a monthly collection of paths. Review every card before sharing: a route shape can reveal private places even when its ends are hidden.

Advertising and ad removal

The free version may show banner ads in Archive. A one-time Remove Ads purchase is planned for the US release; availability and the final price appear in Apple's purchase sheet. It is not a subscription. Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Purchase restoration does not restore deleted route history.

Delete records

In Been Settings, open Your data and choose Delete all routes and places. This cannot be undone. Exported cards and device backups are separate copies.

Need help?

Email your iPhone model, iOS version, Been version, and a description of the problem. You do not need to send your route, home address, password, payment details, or verification codes. If a screenshot includes private locations, remove those details first.
